As a data engineer at Tropos, you’ll be part of modern analytics projects that make a difference for our customers in Belgium and abroad. 

You will work with current technologies such as Snowflake to ensure clients drive more value out of their data.

  • Build and operate data pipelines in a devops context, based on real business requirements and with attention for quality and risk. You’ll work with recent batch- and stream based technologies using AWS and partner ecosystem technologies.
  • You will be involved in the deployment, maintanance and evolution of our own in-house technology framework ASANA
  • You’ll conduct technical analysisdata modellingdevelop data pipelines and manage your documentation.
  • You’ll propose solution designs in collaboration with an architect.
  • You’ll communicate with customers and colleagues during project meetings, stand-ups and workshops


What we look for in our new colleagues

  • A BS or MS in Computer Science, Electronics, Maths, Economics or Statistics
  • You’ve got an entrepreneurial attitude and are passionate for emerging trends in data analytics and cloud computing.
  • A top notch problem solver and critical thinker
  • Up-to-date on data transformation technology, either in languages such as SQL, Python, Javascript or a traditional ETL product;
  • A team player: Good interpersonal and communication skills both internally as well as client-facing. You’re happy to share your knowledge on our Slack channels.
  • Fluent in English with Dutch or French as an extra.
  • A down-to-earth person with a growth mindset.
  • Allowed to work in Belgium. Please note that we are not able to sponsor work permits at this moment.
